I decided to volunteer at is the TreesCount organization. This organization is a group of people getting together to take care for the trees around our city and contributing to their health. They have multiple events happening almost everyday/weekend that anyone can volunteer to with just one simple quiz. Don’t be taken back my the mention of a “quiz”, it’s more of an educational process. During this online “quiz”, I learned how to take care of trees, how to tell in detail what the health is of a specific tree and how to log/measure each tree. The specific event I signed up for is an event happening this weekend on Oct 3rd at Central Park where the organization is trying to achieve and Guinness World Record by recording the number of trees there are around the area while also logging down the health state the trees are at. If you’re interested in becoming part of this amazing process or want more information on the organization itself, follow this link here: https://treescount.nycgovparks.org
